The Epoch Times uncovered more details this week about radical abortion activists’ plans to blockade the U.S. Supreme Court building on June 13.

Threats and violence against the court and pro-life advocates have increased since news broke in May about a leaked draft ruling that shows the justices overturning Roe v. Wade. Authorities expect more violence when the court releases its final ruling on the Mississippi abortion case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health later this month.

LifeNews reported last week about the leftist pro-abortion group Shut Down D.C., which plans to blockade the streets around the Supreme Court building June 13 in an attempt to shut it down.

“On June 13, one of the Supreme Court’s 2022 decision days, we plan to blockade the streets around the Supreme Court to rise up for the transformative change that our communities need,” the group’s website states.

This week, The Epoch Times published more details about the plan based on footage it obtained from a Shut Down D.C. meeting online.

Discussion at the meeting suggests abortion activists plan to hold a “sit-in” to block the three vehicle entrances to the Supreme Court building in an attempt to prevent the justices and court staff from entering and releasing the abortion ruling, the news outlet found.

“Goal is to create a decision dilemma, presenting the court, Congress, and law enforcement [and the political leaders that oversee them] with three unacceptable [to them] options,” the group wrote on a presentation at the meeting, according to the report.

The group said it wants to “escalate the crisis” by forcing police to remove them or the government to meet their demands, the report continues.

Protesters in the Shut Down D.C. meeting also suggested that their actions might not be constitutionally protected.

“We may talk about some action ideas that stretch the bounds of constitutionally protected speech,” said one activist on the video call.

Another advised protesters to be careful with what they said.

“There can be people on any big call who might not have great intentions, so if there is something that you might not want seen on Fox News or any of the conservative news channels, you might not want to say it on this call,” she said.

About 60 people participated in the online meeting from several activist groups, including Showing Up for Racial Justice D.C. (SURJ-DC), Rainforest Action Network and SCOTUS6, which is affiliated with Ruth Sent Us, according to the report.

The Supreme Court has not issued a final ruling on the abortion case yet, but the Department of Homeland Security released a report in mid-May warning that radical abortion activists plan to burn down or storm the Supreme Court building and murder justices and their law clerks if the court overturns Roe v. Wade. The report indicates these pro-abortion extremists also plan to target churches and other places of worship with violence and vandalism.

Since the leaked abortion ruling broke in early May, Americans have witnessed a spate of vandalism, arson, assault and threats against the high court, churches, pro-life organizations and advocates across the country.

At least three pro-life organizations have been the victims of arson in recent weeks, and there have been dozens of acts of vandalism, assaults and threats.

Justice Samuel Alito, the author of the draft opinion, and his family were moved from their home to a secure location due to threats and potential violence, and the U.S. Department of Justice is providing extra security to the justices and their families.

At least two pro-abortion groups have been calling for churches, especially Catholic Churches, to be the target of abortion activists’ outrage. And one group posted the addresses of the Supreme Court justices online to urge people to protest outside their homes.

“The leaked draft memo that states the Supreme Court has struck down #RoeVWade is an ATROCITY but It is not yet law & doesn’t have to be, but what they plan to do & will do if WE don’t stop them. Rise up! & RAISE HELL!” the group Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights wrote on Twitter.

Even prominent pro-abortion groups are using words that hint at possible insurrection and violence. Earlier this month, Rachel O’Leary Carmona, executive director of Women’s March, warned that abortion activists will be “ungovernable” until the government legalizes abortion on demand.

“For the women of this country, this will be a summer of rage. Until our government starts working for us and codifies our right to an abortion, we will be UNGOVERNABLE,” Carmona wrote on Twitter. “This is a fight for [abortion] rights. And it’s a fight we’ll win.”

Since Roe in 1973, more than 63 million unborn babies and hundreds of mothers have died in supposedly “safe, legal” abortions.
