On the same day a pregnancy center was firebombed in New York, another pro-life organization was the target of vandalism in North Carolina.
The incident is the latest in dozens of attacks on pro-life organizations and churches since news broke in May about a leaked draft ruling that shows the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.
FOX Carolina reports the Mountain Area Pregnancy Services in Asheville, North Carolina was covered in red paint, a threat and pro-abortion graffiti overnight Monday.
Photos from the local news outlet show the front of the building was splashed with red paint and the words “If abortions aren’t safe, neither are you” were painted on the front walkway along with an anarchist symbol.
Several windows also were smashed and the words “No forced birth” were spray-painted on the side of the building, WSPA News 7 reports.

The Asheville Police Department said they received a call about the vandalism at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, and they are investigating. Police said it appears the vandal may have injured themselves during the act because they found blood on the scene by a broken window.
“Friends, please pray!!!” Mountain Area Pregnancy Services wrote on Facebook in response to the crime. “Our building was vandalized last night. We are dealing with the cops and will still see clients, but we need your prayer support!!”
The pro-life Christian organization provides free education and support services to pregnant and parenting mothers and fathers, helping them choose life for their unborn babies. It also offers grief services to families who have lost a child through miscarriage, stillbirth, a newborn death or abortion. To donate, click here.
Around the same time Monday night or early Tuesday, another pro-life pregnancy center, CompassCare, was firebombed in Buffalo, New York. Photos shared with LifeNews show extensive fire damage, broken windows and graffiti on the building.
CompassCare CEO Jim Harden told LifeNews: “This is the pro-abortion ‘Kristallnacht.’ Because of this act of violence, the needs of women facing unplanned pregnancy will go unmet and babies will die.”
Since the Supreme Court leak in early May, LifeNews has documented approximately 30 cases of arson and vandalism against pro-life organizations and churches by pro-abortion radicals. This does not include additional reports of threats, assaults and other hostility toward pro-lifers, Christians and Supreme Court justices.
In May, Justice Samuel Alito, the author of the draft opinion, and his family were moved from their home to a secure location due to threats of violence, and the U.S. Department of Justice is providing extra security to the justices and their families.
Authorities expect more violence when the court releases its final ruling on the Mississippi abortion case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health later this month, including plans to blockade the Supreme Court building and threats to burn down the court and murder the justices.
Several pro-abortion groups have been calling for churches, especially Catholic Churches, to be the target of abortion activists’ outrage. And one group posted the addresses of the Supreme Court justices’ homes online. Even Rachel O’Leary Carmona, executive director of Women’s March, warned that abortion activists will be “ungovernable” until the government legalizes abortion on demand.
