Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just raised $300,000 to help the billion-dollar abortion industry.

AOC, a New York Democrat, claims to be a voice for the people, but her latest fundraiser helped pro-abortion abortion groups instead.

Incensed by the new Texas heartbeat law, Ocasio-Cortez set up a pro-abortion campaign through social media and email to raise money for abortion groups in Texas, The Hill reports.

On Friday, she said about 4,000 people donated more than $300,000 to her fundraiser for the Texas Equal Access Fund, Whole Woman’s Health Alliance and Fund Texas Choice. The Democrat congresswoman said the organizations provide “much needed resources to folks seeking abortion care in Texas.”

The Texas law went into effect last week, banning abortions on unborn babies once their heartbeat is detectable, about six weeks of pregnancy. The law potentially could save tens of thousands of babies from abortion every year and countless mothers from the pain and regret of abortion.

Earlier, Ocasio-Cortez slammed the U.S. Supreme Court for rejecting pro-abortion group’s request to temporarily block the law. She said the justices’ decision “imperils every menstruating person in the US, every person who engages in sex, and every person who values our constitutional right to privacy,” according to the report.

“The Supreme Court and GOP’s coordinated attack on Roe v Wade isn’t only about abortion rights – it’s also an attack on our overall right to privacy,” she wrote on Twitter. “Roe v Wade allowed SCOTUS to overturn state laws that criminalized private, consensual acts that especially targeted LGBT+ people.”

There is nothing necessary or essential about killing unborn babies in abortions, and pregnant mothers often seek abortions because they are desperate and need support. But abortion activists like Ocasio-Cortez choose to support big abortion rather than actually help mothers and babies in need.

Meanwhile, hundreds of pregnancy centers and other pro-life charities across Texas are providing real support to thousands of pregnant and parenting mothers, from diapers and car seats, to temporary shelter and help with rent and medical care. Earlier this year, Texas lawmakers also increased support for pregnant and parenting mothers and babiesensuring that they have resources to choose life for their babies.

Several recent polls show Americans support heartbeat lawsA new Rasmussen poll found that Americans support the Texas heartbeat law, with 46 percent in favor to 43 percent against. An April poll by the University of Texas-Austin found that 49 percent of Texans support making abortions illegal after six weeks of pregnancy, while 41 percent oppose it. And a national Hill-HarrisX survey in 2019 found that 55 percent of voters said they do not think laws banning abortions after six weeks – when an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detectable – are too restrictive.
