On Monday the Town of LaGrange in eastern Arkansas passed a resolution affirming it is a Pro-Life City.

LaGrange is located south of Marianna in Lee County — both of which have passed resolutions affirming that they are Pro-Life as well.

This year the Arkansas Legislature passed Act 392 of 2021 by Rep. Kendon Underwood (R – Cave Springs) and Sen. Gary Stubblefield (R – Branch). Act 392 affirms that municipalities in Arkansas can designate themselves as Pro-Life.

Arkansas has added several Pro-Life Communities since last spring — including Washington, Benton, CrawfordCleburnePopeJacksonSalineFaulknerPerrySebastianLee, and White counties.

The City of Mariana, the City of Russellville, and the City of Springdale have passed resolutions affirming that they are Pro-Life as well.

Public opinion polling shows that the vast majority of Arkansans believe abortion ought to be either completely illegal or legal only under certain circumstances.

Arkansas is a firmly pro-life state, so it makes sense that communities like LaGrange would vote to affirm that they are Pro-Life.
