Kamala Harris excluded God from her comments Monday in a meeting with faith leaders about the potential overturn of Roe v. Wade this summer.

Breitbart reports Harris met a small group of Christian, Jewish and Islamic leaders to discuss ways to “protect reproductive rights” if the U.S. Supreme Court allows states to protect unborn babies by banning abortions again.

“Today I am meeting with faith leaders to discuss the most urgent challenges facing our communities, from protecting reproductive rights, to addressing the epidemic of hate that is gripping our nation. Faith leaders are essential to our nation in this moment,” the vice president wrote on Twitter.

Although the meeting specifically focused on faith and abortion, Harris never mentioned God once, according to Breitbart. Instead, she encouraged Americans to have “faith in each other, in our nation, and in our future” and work together to achieve a “higher purpose.”

“I do believe — and I, my entire life, believed this — but I think we, collectively, know, in particular now: We need faith. We need faith,” Harris said.

“You all, as our faith leaders, have done extraordinary work, in particular of these last few years, to remind folks that they are not alone, that we are in this together, that there is a higher purpose, and that we should be guided by all that we know — that that gives us a chance of shining a light in the midst of dark moments and dark days,” she continued.

The vice president spoke with the faith leaders about Roe, claiming that allowing states to protect unborn babies from abortion again would “undo the very principles and premise of the importance of the privacy,” according to the report.

Harris said the Biden administration supports “unfettered” abortion – meaning the killing of unborn babies for any reason up to birth, paid for by taxpayers. She also made the baseless claim that overturning Roe would lead to banning same-sex marriage and contraception in the near future.

“The threat to all of these principles and priorities is very clear and imminent,” she said.

To Harris and the pro-abortion faith leaders that she met with, unborn babies’ lives do not matter as much as “self-determination.”

“So, that conversation, of course, in my mind, is a conversation that requires us to also discuss whether we value the concept of self-determination — the ability of an individual to make decisions about their own life and the future of their life and the choices that will directly impact so many other choices,” Harris said.

In other words, a woman should be allowed to abort her unborn baby for any reason up to birth; the unborn baby’s life and future do not matter.

This contradicts Christian, Jewish and Muslim teachings about the value of human life. Across the world, leaders of all three religions speak out against the killing of unborn babies in abortions and encourage people to recognize unborn babies as valuable human beings. Most charities that help mothers and babies in need are run by religious people who are motivated by their faith.

Since Roe in 1973, more than 63 million unborn babies and hundreds of mothers have been killed in supposedly “safe, legal” abortions. If the Supreme Court overturns the abortion ruling this summer, experts predict as many as 26 states would protect unborn babies by banning abortions.
