Vice President Kamala Harris praised President Joe Biden for taking executive action on gun control Thursday, saying “real people” from all political affiliations want to end the tragedy of gun violence.

The same could be said of the even more pervasive violence of abortion against unborn babies in the U.S. Polls consistently show that the vast majority of “real people” on both sides of the political aisle want better protections for babies in the womb.

But Harris, a radical pro-abortion Democrat, has made no effort to find common ground on that subject.

Harris, a former California prosecutor, joined Biden on Thursday when he announced a series of executive actions involving the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms, according to the New York Post. These include the nomination of a gun control advocate to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and restrictions on so-called “ghost guns,” or guns built at home.

Defending his actions, Biden said, “Gun violence in this country is an epidemic and it’s an international embarrassment.”

Harris echoed Biden’s lament, saying America already has had “more tragedy than we can bear.”

“I’ve looked at autopsy photographs. I’ve seen with my own two eyes what a bullet can do to the human body,” she said. “Real people on both sides of the aisle want action. So all that is left is the will and the courage to act. And President Joe Biden has the will and the courage to act.”

The destruction of innocent life to any form of violence is horrific and tragic, and the first duty of the government should be to protect its citizens’ rights, the most fundamental being their right to life.

But Biden and Harris are discriminatory, choosing to protect some Americans’ right to life while openly advocating for the destruction of others’. Their administration has been described as the most pro-abortion presidential ticket in U.S. history, and it has only just begun.

Harris has a long history of ignoring the vast majority of “real people” – Democrats and Republicans, pro-life and pro-choice – who believe unborn babies should be protected from abortions at least by the third trimester and taxpayers should not be forced to fund abortions.

And she has openly advocated for the destruction of “real people’s” lives to abortions. Every year in the U.S., nearly 1 million unborn babies are killed in elective abortions. Since 1973, more than 62 million babies have been aborted. Each of these babies was a unique, irreplaceable human being whose life was violently and unnecessarily destroyed.

Horrifically, to Harris, the problem is not too many abortions but too few. As a U.S. senator from California, she co-sponsored a radical pro-abortion bill that would have legalized abortions for basically any reason up to birth. Nicknamed the “Abortion Without Limits Until Birth Act” by pro-life groups, the bill would have expanded abortions by invalidating nearly all state and federal abortion regulations, including waiting periods, informed consent requirements, bans on late-term abortions and sex-selection abortions and more.

Notorious in pro-life circles, Harris even raided the home of undercover journalist David Daleiden because he exposed Planned Parenthood’s baby body parts trade. Harris was the attorney general of California at the time, and the state’s prosecution of Daleiden is on-going. If convicted, he could be sent to jail – even though his investigation led to the shutdown of two companies that sold aborted baby body parts.

Now, as part of the Biden administration, Harris is supporting the killing of unborn babies in abortions for any reason without limits and want to force taxpayers to pay for them. Biden also recently took action to restore hundreds of millions of tax dollars to Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion chain in America, and other abortion groups overseas.

Harris’s and Biden’s policies could lead to tens of thousands more unborn babies being slaughtered in abortions each year – and billions more dollars in the pockets of the abortion industry.

“Real people” are horrified by this. Americans want better protections for unborn babies because they know that babies in the womb are “real people,” too.
