Kamala Harris plans to travel across the country in the coming months to promote unlimited abortions and pro-abortion Democrat candidates ahead of the mid-term elections.
Harris and President Joe Biden have been working aggressively to expand the killing of unborn babies in abortions since news leaked in May that the U.S. Supreme Court would overturn Roe v. Wade. On June 24 in a historic ruling, the high court returned the power to protect unborn babies to states. Now, more than a dozen states have pro-life laws in place.
Harris is trying to thwart state’ life-saving efforts with her new cross-country tour. According to Politico, she plans to visit swing states and Republican states to fundraise for pro-abortion governors and state lawmakers in November.
Last week, the vice president visited Pennsylvania and Virginia, and she plans to visit Indiana on Monday. A White House official told Politico that Harris will focus on criticizing “Republican extremism” on abortion.
In Virginia on Saturday, “Harris reinforced the Biden administration’s goal to pass a law to codify Roe v. Wade in federal law. She perpetuated manipulative stories about women being threatened or dying due to new pro-life laws, without providing any evidence,” according to the Virginia Society for Human Life.

Harris also participated in a panel that stressed that the pro-abortion members of the state General Assembly will do all that they can to make sure that Virginia is never able to pass laws that most Virginians would support, including laws to ensure that babies who survive an abortion would receive lifesaving care, or prevent taxpayer funding of abortions. The panelists also promised to fight to enshrine an unrestricted right to abortion in Virginia’s Constitution.
Fox News reports Harris has meetings scheduled with Indiana abortion activists and lawmakers Monday, right before the state legislature convenes for a special session to consider pro-life legislation.
Pro-life leaders expect Indiana will pass legislation this summer to protect unborn babies by banning almost all abortions. State lawmakers also are considering an adoption tax credit expansion and funding increases for programs that offer contraception, pre-natal and postpartum care and other assistance for mothers and babies, according to the report.
Here’s more from Politico:
“We need to make it a goal that we’re out in America three days a week,” Harris told her staff recently as they worked to figure out how much overall travel she should take through the November elections, a source familiar with the conversations said.
Already, the vice president has started executing on the state and local strategy. Last weekend, she surprised volunteers and campaign aides for Josh Shapiro’s gubernatorial campaign in Pennsylvania with a visit. White House aides said the campaign had asked Harris to stop by and give a morale boost in what’s set to be a very close race in the state.
Harris – who is widely unpopular according to recent polls – has been trying to boost her image by portraying herself as a champion of abortion.
But her position on abortion is radical and out of touch with most Americans. Polls consistently show that a strong majority of Americans oppose taxpayer-funded abortions and support strong limits on abortion, especially after the first trimester. LifeNews highlighted 14 recent polls here.
Since Roe in 1973, more than 63 million unborn babies and hundreds of mothers have died in supposedly “safe,” legal abortions in the U.S. The infamous ruling forced states to legalize abortions for any reason up to viability and allowed abortions for any reason up to birth.
In the historic Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health ruling June 24, the Supreme Court justices overturned Roe and allowed states to protect unborn babies from abortion again. Thirteen already have done so, although some have been blocked by court orders, and more state are expected to enact pro-life laws in the coming weeks.
The Charlotte Lozier Institute estimates more than 120,000 unborn babies are being saved from abortion as a result of the pro-life laws currently in place.
