They say President Donald Trump is mean, that he is immoral and divisive and unpresidential. They question how any Christian, any conservative, any good, moral American can vote for such a man.
But supporters of Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden often fail to hold their own candidate to the same standards. If they did, they might realize that “established elites such as Biden are more like Trump than they care to admit,” Nathanael Blake commented at The Federalist this week.
Blake said he is not a huge Trump fan. He said the president’s immoral past, some of his political actions and his mean comments on Twitter are troubling.
But Biden supports the killing of unborn babies in abortions and forcing taxpayers to fund them – one of the most immoral and evil position that a politician can take. It is one of the key reasons why Blake and so many others plan to support the Republican president for a second term.
“[Trump] has fought to keep his promises on the issues I care most about: abortion, religious liberty, and the rule of law,” Blake wrote. “Meanwhile, the radicals running the Democratic Party have demonstrated that they will do anything for power — and that they view people like me as enemies to be punished and destroyed.”
Disturbing to many Americans were Democrat leaders’ attempts to destroy a well-respected judge’s life because they did not want him on the U.S. Supreme Court.
“The Democrats not only tried to defeat the nomination [of Brett Kavanaugh], but they also promoted even the most grotesque and lurid smears — accusing a respected, mainstream judge of having been a high school gang-rape mastermind,” he wrote.
Democrat leaders’ double standard also was evident during the initial coronavirus outbreak.
Other, more reasonable, criticisms of the president are undermined by Democrats’ hypocrisy. It was foolish for Trump to downplay the dangers of the Chinese coronavirus. But Democrats would be more persuasive on the point if they had not praised mass protests and feted the disastrous efforts of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who ordered infected patients into nursing homes.
Likewise, Trump’s flattery of foreign dictators has been unseemly, and it does not seem to help his negotiations. But as vice president, Joe Biden did worse by endorsing China’s murderous one-child policy [which led to forced and coerced abortions through all nine months of pregnancy]. Nothing Trump has said is as obscene and wicked as that.
Trump is far from perfect, but he has taken a strong stand for unborn babies, pro-life advocates and Christians who believe it is wrong to destroy an unborn baby’s life. His administration defunded a United Nations agency connected to China’s oppressive population control measures and sanctioned several Chinese Communist Party leaders after new reports of forced abortions, the placement of minorities in concentration camps and other human rights abuses broke this summer.
He has taken action to end taxpayer funding to the nation’s largest abortion chain, Planned Parenthood, and scientific research that uses aborted baby body parts. The Trump administration has pushed back against global abortion advocacy at the UN and introduced rules to protect and expand religious freedom for pro-life individuals and employers. He also appointed nearly 200 conservative judges to the federal courts.
But Biden has said he would reverse all those life-saving actions, if elected. He promised to expand abortion on demand by codifying Roe v. Wade into federal law and forcing taxpayers to fund elective abortions by ending the Hyde Amendment. Biden promised to reinstate rules to force nuns and other religious employers to fund birth control that may cause abortions as well.
Abortion is the greatest destroyer of human life in America. Every year, nearly 1 million unborn babies are mercilessly slaughtered in their mothers’ wombs and denied their most basic right, the right to life. Few things, if anything, are more mean, more immoral than killing a baby before birth, but that is exactly what Biden supports.
