Abortion is often times license for men to prey on women to help hide or conceal their crimes when they get a young girl pregnant without their consent.
And the lack of parental notification or consent laws for abortions in some states makes it even easier to whisk that victim across state lines to hide the rape and the abortion from the girls’ parents, who could have stepped in to help their daughter in a horrific time of need.
That’s exactly what happened in Idaho, when Kadyn Leo Swainston, 18, got a 15-year-old girl pregnant after he raped her. Then he and his mother took the girl to Oregon to kill the baby in an abortion and hide his crime. Although the girl, a victim of statutory rape, was fine with having a baby, he coerced her into having an abortion.
Swainston and his mother, Rachael Swainston, 42 both of Pocatello, have both been charged with multiple felonies following a Pocatello police investigation that was launched in June after the victim’s mother contacted the authorities to report the rape.
There’s no evidence the abortion center ever reported the rape to authorities, it was happy to accept payment for the abortion and return the victimized girl to her abuser.

Kadyn has been charged with rape, second-degree kidnapping and three counts of producing child sexually exploitative material, all felonies, court records show.
His mother Rachael has been charged with second-degree kidnapping, trafficking in methamphetamine, two counts of possession of a controlled substance — one each for possessing fentanyl and psychedelic mushrooms — and one count of harboring a wanted felon, all felonies, following the investigation.

Pocatello police obtained search warrants for Kadyn’s and Rachael’s phone records, which showed that they traveled to Bend, Oregon, on May 18, according to the report.
The teenage girl also provided police permission to forensically extract data from her cell phone, which resulted in police locating a video and three photos that depicted Kadyn and the teenage girl engaging in various sex acts, police said.
Police identified Kadyn as the person in the pictures and video by matching tattoos shown in the video to ones that he had on his person, according to police.
Both are due back in court on Nov. 7 for separate preliminary hearings that will involve prosecutors attempting to prove there is enough evidence against them to elevate their cases from the magistrate to district court level for trial.
