Democratic Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock deleted an Easter tweet after being accused of heresy.
Warnock, also a reverend, claimed in his Sunday morning tweet that Easter was “more transcendent than the resurrection of Jesus Christ” and went on to assert that “through a commitment to helping others we are able to save ourselves.” (RELATED: Sen. Critics quickly attacked Warnock’s statement, calling his assessment “heresy” and arguing that the Bible was clear in stating that no man could save himself.
I logged on here specifically to respond to this absolutely inane—albeit unsurprising—tweet from narcissistic heretic Raphael Warnock. FIRST OF ALL, https://t.co/i9XOLo2tI7

Politics aside, this is false teaching. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”

God’s Word is our standard. Warnock’s deleted tweet was objectively false and heresy, when compared to the actual text and truth of the Bible and God Himself. It would be like someone calling themselves a vegan when they eat meat. It’s objectively false. Words have meaning. https://t.co/dlDmlpUyh7

Some, like MSNBC host Joy Reid, defended Warnock even after he deleted the tweet. Reid fired back at Jenna Ellis, who served as legal adviser to former President Donald Trump.
“This lady is literally calling the pastor … The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s church — a heretic. This actually happened today. Madame, I’m gonna take @ReverendWarnock’s take, as a pastor and a scholar on the Word over yours, if you don’t mind.”
