The March for Life announced its lineup of speakers today for the rally that takes place with over 100,000 people prior to the march getting underway. Actor Kirk Cameron will headline the rally.

The 49th annual March for Life will take place on Friday January 21st, one day before the 49th anniversary of the roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that ushered in an era of virtually unlimited abortions that have killed over 63.5 million unborn children.

Members of Congress, Down Syndrome advocate Katie Shaw, Duck Dynasty star Lisa Robertson, actor Kirk Cameron, and other prominent pro-life leaders will headline the rally to encourage pro-life advocates to keep fighting for unborn children and their mothers.

“We are delighted to welcome these incredible speakers to the March for Life,” said Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life Education and Defense Fund. “Americans everywhere know that unborn children deserve equal rights and protection under the law. We expect this year’s March for Life to be historic with even higher levels of enthusiasm from participants. We are hopeful that, with Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization before the Supreme Court, 2022 will bring us much closer to building the culture of life we have all marched for since Roe v. Wade was tragically imposed on our nation nearly 50 years ago.”

Cameron has been a part of the TV and movie culture since starring as “Mike Seaver” in the ABC hit sit-com, “Growing Pains.” That role turned him into a cultural icon in the 80’s. Since then, he’s appeared in numerous television and movie productions, including the “Left Behind” series, “Monumental,” and Fireproof- the marriage-centered film that became the #1 grossing inspirational movie of 2008.

Cameron is a passionate pro-life and adoption advocate. He and his wife, Chelsea, who met on the set of Growing Pains, have six children, four of whom are adopted.

“I think that it’s wrong, under any circumstances,” he has said about ending the lives of unborn children. “I think that someone who is ultimately willing to murder a child, even to fix another tragic and devastating situation – like rape or incest or things like that – is not taking the moral highroad.”

he said his own daughter helped him understand the importance of life.

“I love my daughter, I love that little child. This is a little creature made in God’s image,” says Cameron. “I value life above all things.”

The Christian actor is concerned about the increasing persecution pro-life Christians are facing. His belief is that persecution will significantly heighten in the years to come.

“The day is coming when a similar statement may well be made about those who believe the Bible is true. It may not be this year or the next, but that day is coming,” he says.

Cameron reminds Christian parents of the importance of raising their children with an active Christian faith.

“Prepare your children to embrace God’s call. Equip them to stand for truth and to be firm in the face of persecution,” he says. “We have a mission to be salt and light, to speak the truth, to spread the Good News … We are to represent God’s truth and His salvation as the hope of all men.”
