A Planned Parenthood-backed law requiring sex education to be taught starting in kindergarten in Washington state passed again in a ballot referendum Tuesday.
The Christian Post reports the law passed the state legislature earlier this year, but concerned parents with Parents for Safe Schools gathered enough support to make the law a referendum on the ballot.
However, the law will stand after 59 percent of voters approved it Tuesday, according to the report.
The legislation, Senate Bill 5395, requires public schools to teach specific sex education materials to students in kindergarten through 12th grade. That includes children as young as 5.
Parents for Safe Schools accused the government of pushing “harmful sex education ideology” on children, including “graphic sexual subject matter taught at a very young age.”
“One curriculum’s ‘accurate and reliable resource’ is a website written by teens which features articles encouraging the choking method, bondage, and how to hide sexual activity from parents,” the parents group’s website states.

Parents for Safe Schools noted that the abortion chain Planned Parenthood not only supported the legislation, but one of its leaders also helped review the sex education curriculum that the government wants schools to use, according to the report.
Here’s more from the report:
[Parents rights advocate Maia Espinoza] said that there were no representatives from more conservative eastern Washington districts. Espinoza added that one sex-ed curriculum framework has a section that teaches “sexual positions to fourth graders.”
“There is a book that shows people in different positions having sex recommended for fourth grade. They show children masturbating, showing them … the action, like a ‘how-to-masturbate’ for fourth grade,” she added.
Parents may opt out their children from sex education classes by submitting a written request to the school, but Parents for Safe Schools said that provision in the bill also is “deceptive.” The new sex education mandate “is meant to be integrated into all classes, nullifying a true opt out,” the parents group said.
Planned Parenthood, the billion-dollar abortion chain, brags that it is the largest provider of sex education in the U.S. It also does more abortions than any other group in the country.
Among its worst teaching points, Planned Parenthood tells children that promiscuity is ok. “There’s nothing bad or unhealthy about having a big number of sexual partners,” it tells students on its Tumbler page. Planned Parenthood’s booklet for HIV-positive youth, “Healthy, Happy and Hot,” tells young people that it is their “human right” to not tell their sexual partner that they have HIV.
Numerous communities have rejected Planned Parenthood as a sex education teacher. The whole Massachusetts legislature rejected a bill in 2017 that recommended Planned Parenthood’s middle school sex education curriculum. The program teaches children as young as 12 “how to perform oral and anal sex.”
Concerned parents in Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan, California, Washington state, New York, North Carolina and other parts of the country also have protested Planned Parenthood’s involvement in their students’ education in the past several years.
In another recent case, parents at a Pennsylvania school said a Planned Parenthood partner group taught seventh-grade students graphic details about oral sex during a science class.
